Screenshot

A screenshot is a picture taken by your device that captures the entire display of your device's screen. It can be helpful for our tech support staff to see a screenshot when we're providing you with assistance.

Note: If you're taking a screen shot of the More Information screen, please wait for the WiFi signal strength (last item) to load a number before following the steps below.

To take a screenshot:

  • iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod):
    • Simultaneously press the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons: the screen flashes white. Your device captures the entire screen and saves it as a photo. Screenshots are saved in your Photos app.
  • Android devices:
    • Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Down and Sleep/Wake buttons for 1-2 seconds: the screen flashes white. Your device captures the entire screen and saves it as a photo. The photo is found in Gallery or Photos app.
    • Samsung devices: If the above does not work, simultaneously press the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons to capture a screenshot. The photo is found in the Screenshots folder in your Gallery or Photos app.

To email a screenshot:

  • From your email program, reply to the email we've sent requesting the screenshot. Tap the "Attachment" icon, which usually looks like a paperclip, and select the screenshot you've just taken. It will attach to your email, which you can send to us with any other information we've requested.

Additional information on capturing screenshots can be found by entering "capture screenshot on {insert the name of your mobile device}" at this external website.
